Sije Moreno Elected New Secretary

Due to a vacancy in the office of secretary, Sije Moreno was elected by his peers to fill the the rest of the term.  Sije has been in the post for several years and has competed in state and national competitions.  He was on the State Competition Team that earned a state championship in Advanced Crash Investigation and placed 3rd in the Domestic Violence Response.  The secretary position puts Sije fourth in command of the post. 

  

Self Defense & Traffic Stops

Post members particpated in training for traffic stops and self-defense measures. 

The traffic stop portion taught the newer explorers the essentials of making vehicle stops, investigating the driver and determining the appropriate disposition.

The self defense portion involved learning take-downs, holds, handcuffing techniques and pressure point techniques.

Officer Assistance Training

Explorers underwent training in removing officers in trouble situations.  A big part of the training was learning to drag and/or carry your partner to safety.
