Ride Alongs

Explorers are permitted to ride with police reserve officers after meeting certain requirements (CPR, First Aid, Driver’s License, tenure in post, completed all required hours from the previous month).  After meeting more extensive requirements some explorers are able to ride along with full time officers.  Explorers are observers during the ride along and provide an extra set of eyes and ears to the officer he/she is riding with.  In addition, the explorer completes the daily log and utilizes the radio to keep dispatch updated.
